Is there anything out there that do not repair the partition? "Well Jim while most people are happy just to get their data back from corrupted partitions, we have the tools to brave souls who want to actually fix the partition.

Dick Correa our main programmer good enough to release the tool he created an NTFS partition that does not really repair. This software is free to our readers and can be obtained off our website. This link at the bottom of this post. Keep in mind that the DTI is not responsible for lost data from misuse of these tools. It is very powerful. Now that the lawers happy, here is Dick post:

NTFS Partition Recovery Partition Recovery Free Everything must start somewhere, it comes with the operating system '; sector of the partition is the most important part of the boot sequence. When the sector lost partitions, corrupt, or set incorrectly can wreak havoc on your operating system boot. Partition sector vulnerable to virus attacks, operating system anomalies, read the bad sectors, and increasing range of tools, including fdisk, when used improperly can and will completely destroy the operating system boot sequence .

To more clearly understand how the partition sector fits into the boot sequence, the following is a garden boot different criteria.

When you turn your computer on a few things happen. The first is the BIOS (Basic Input Output System) executed by the CPU (Central Processing Unit). CPU knows to load the BIOS on power up because there is a flag set in power. BIOS then jumps to a range of activities that run the POST (Power On Self Test). POST will look at memory, some peripheral devices, and do some other house keeping procedures. The most important of these is to determine the boot device. Boot device is stored in non-volatile read / write memory. If the boot device is set on the hard drive, then the industry average interrupt 0 × 19 is called. This regular loads the first 512 bytes of the boot device, which in this case the hard drive, the memory location of 0x7C00. The size of 512 byte sectors is common. It then jumps to the address (0x7C00) and execute anything found there.

If all goes well, set of instructions executed will see the entry of the data partition. Partition of the data entry is used to determine the partition is the boot partition. If it finds the partition boot partition entry in the list of instructions it contains a set of instructions that second partition entry is pointed. In the case of Windows OS (Operating System) is now the pre-loader to load itself into memory. Types of OS Loader loader is called phase two and is widespread. Format the partition sector entry is as follows:

1.) Partition 1 BYTE boot indicator (0 × 80 is bootable, 0 × 00 is not)

It is defined as 10 bits for the cylinder and

6 bits for the sector (sector Max 63, Max Cylinders 1024)

4.) Type 5 Byte File System (NTFS, FAT32, etc.)

5.) Byte 6 ends the Head of the partition (255 or less)

6.) Byte 7-8 End sector and cylinder partition

It is defined as 10 bits for the cylinder and

6 bits for the sector (sector Max 63, Max Cylinders 1024)

7.) Bytes 9 -12 Relative sector partition sector. In other

words, where the actual partition starts.

8.) Bytes 13-16 Overall this sector of partition.

If all data is beyond the parameters stated in the partition will fail and consequently stop the boot sequence. To clearly understand what is happening when the sector is corrupted or damaged partitions, the following is a list scenarios.1. Boot Failure: System terminated

The error message from the BIOS. Specific BIOS version, especially in the latest revision, we see the partition sector. BIOS will do some preliminary tests and one test identifier Partition. At the end of each sector of the partition 0xAA55 value. If this indicator is missing, the BIOS assumes that this is not a sector of the partition and the error message is issued.

2. Reboot the system again

For years the BIOS writers get more intelligent, personal computer and operating system standards are established and are usually followed. So many messages, and error checking is now handled by the BIOS. The message that I mentioned just a few, however, are quite common, however, from BIOS to BIOS messages and error handling can be very different.

As you can clearly see the partition sector is of fundamental importance in the boot sequence. Without it nothing happens. In the future there may be ways to address the use of sector partitions, one partition will store the data entry in the BIOS, it will remove the boot sector viruses as well as the possibility that the boot sector goes bad and become unreadable. But for now, we have what we have. The next segment will discuss how to carry out the recovery partition using a simple piece of software.

How To Use Software

Partition Recovery free is a very powerful tool for anyone to use, but this statement must be caveated with the fact that with power comes responsibility level. In other words, use this tool with extreme caution because it can damage your file system and possibly to the point of permanent data loss. That being said, let's see how we can put these tools properly.

First, the software must be run from the master drive. There should be two drives in the system, boot your drive where the software is run, and drive is damaged. One drive is damaged with a broken or lost partitions. Free Partition Recovery is designed to operate on the type of operating system Windows XP, so make sure you have unzipped the file into the operating system type.

After Partition Recovery Guide is enabled you can see in Figure 1.

The top row displays all the physical drives currently active in your system. This will also include any external devices that can be mounted as a physical block device. An example of this would be the 80 GB Maxtor USB device. Once you choose a physical drive all partition entry data will be displayed as in Figure 2.

The partition entry data for this particular drive gives us a clear example of a drive that has been configured with one NTFS logical drive with the standard offset of 63 sectors, start head and sector of 1 and ending cylinder of 1023. These are classic values for a normal single logical drive setup.
The other three entries are clear and not in use. These entries will be ignored by the OS loader. There is one other important item in this configuration. On the far left of Figure 2 of the first partition entry is the boot flag “No”. This indicates that this partition is ‘Not Bootable’. You can change that value buy using the drop down list (Figure 3)

Once you have configured all of the partition entries to reflect the correct values all you need do is press the “Write” button. You will be presented with the following message box in Figure 4. A word of caution, once you write the data down to the partition sector, you must live with it. Please exhibit extreme caution.
